Job summary

A logistics company in Penang seeks a dedicated team member to manage shipment documentation and coordinate logistics operations. The ideal candidate should have a diploma and at least one year of experience in ATE logistics, familiar with import/export processes and customs documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining service quality, making this a vital role in our operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in ATE logistics preferred.
• Familiarity with import & export flow and documentation preparation.
• Knowledge of China import clearance procedures is an advantage.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for shipment document preparation and handle local and international incoming and outgoing shipment
• Coordinate with various departments internally on shipping related issues
• Prepare all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.)
• Plan and schedule appropriate modes of transportation based on shipment needs
• Arrange forwarders with competitive rates for incoming and outgoing shipment
• Work closely with customer representatives to ensure service satisfaction and attain delivery, cost and quality of service
• Prepare custom related documents and obtain approval from customs whenever required
• Communicate with relevant carriers or agents on arrival and closing times
• Responsible for logistic arrangement and support
• Improve packaging for outgoing shipment to minimize shipping cost and ensure quality of shipment for customers
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company with on‑time full closure

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field
• At least 1 year of working experience in ATE logistics is preferred
• Familiar with import & export flow, Incoterms and documentation preparation
• Familiar with MS Office applications
• Knowledge of customs and shipping documentation is an advantage
• Knowledge of China import clearance procedures is an advantage
• Self‑discipline, self‑driven, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Proven ability to lead and develop a diverse workforce
• Willing to work on weekends upon arrangement, if urgent cases arise
