A leading logistics and manufacturing company in Penang is seeking a Logistics Manager. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, recruiting and training personnel, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. A diploma and at least 5 years of experience in logistics within manufacturing are essential. The role requires knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in English and Malay. This position offers a competitive salary package.
Logistics Management
Fully responsible to inbound or outbound daily logistics operations, such as booking (truck, vessel and airfreight), coordinating pick-up/delivery arrangement, cargo consolidation, and others logistics activities
To recruit I&E personnel, to provide continuous training to guide and to motivate LOG I&E staff in their roles or responsibilities and to understand the new changes/implementation (if any)
To establish or design import/export process flow; collaborate with internal departments to integrate logistics processes, such as marketing, production, planning, and finance, or to fulfill specific requests by customers.
To establish a repo and relationship with local authority and to enhance legal compliance for import/export shipments by monitoring import/export processes and reporting compliance with statutory, regulatory, or legal requirements.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes or design logistics models, such as routing, shipment modes, Inco terms, consolidation, volumes and frequency, by implementing towards improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes
To established repo and negotiation with transporter/forwarder pertaining to lead-time, sustainability, on-time delivery and quality of transportation services by established transporter/forwarders KPI to improve cost efficiency and timeless objectives
Resolve daily operations problems concerning transportation, imports/exports compliance obligations and customer issues
To maintain and to implement reporting, documentation, notifications as specifically required by customers/legal authorities
Diploma or equivalence
Minimum 5 years Logistics work experience in manufacturing
Knowledge in ERP/MRP system & Microsoft software
Good attitude and communication skill in English and Malay
