Job summary

A logistics company in Selangor is seeking a candidate to coordinate export shipments and manage daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Business and 1-2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include liaising with internal and external parties, preparing documentation, and maintaining the ERP system. Candidates should possess strong follow-up skills and ideally have knowledge of customs regulations. A driving license is required and the role is located in Bukit Angkat, Kajang.

Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years of working experience preferably in the related field.
  • Must possess own driving license.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties for daily operations.
  • Prepare shipping pre and post documentation.
  • Maintain timely and accurate ERP system transactions.
  • Negotiate shipping rates with vendors.
  • Conduct cycle counts and stock takes.

Job description

To liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties (sales dept, production, freight forwarders, clearance agents, haulage companies, etc) to ensure smooth running of daily operations in Daily Trade Order Processing.

Physical Export shipment/local delivery coordination.

Shipping pre and post documentation preparation such as container loading plan, invoice, packing list, delivery order, L/C, B/L, Certificate of Origin, Insurance policies, fumigation Certificate and other certifications.

To co-ordinate with production scheduler, loading team and sales team for finished goods /Spare Part delivery/shipment.

To maintain timely and accurate ERP system transactions.

To continuously negotiate shipping rates with liners, airlines, forwarders, forwarding agents and haulage agents.

To follow up on outstanding orders with sales team and store supervisor.

To ensure all transactions relating to FG/Spare Part store activities are maintained and recorded accurately.

To prepare and conduct cycle count and 100% stock take.

System updating and report preparation (sales report; stock report, shipment data report, etc)

To ensure the billings from service providers are correct then submit to accounts dept on timely manner.

To ensure the billings, shipping documents are correctly done then submit to the customers before ETA date.

To develop statistical data base for Logistic Section for analysis.

Must be able to provide best solution for distribution requirement when required.

Any other duties assigned by the Management.

The company may at any time, deemed necessary, add or amend any of these job responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:

Candidate must have Bachelor Degree in Logistic/ Business study or related discipline.

At least 1-2 years of working experience preferably in the related field.

Good follow up work with sense of urgency to meet commitments.

Well versed in the customs and import/export regulations would be an added advantage.

ERP System knowledge as an advantage.

Possess own driving license.
