Job summary

A leading energy firm in Malaysia is seeking a candidate for supply chain coordination. The role involves managing import shipping documentation, monitoring shipment status, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in the field and be fluent in Mandarin, Malay, and English. The position requires effective communication with various stakeholders and the ability to handle customs procedures efficiently.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years experience in the same field.
  • Experience in handling LMW license is required.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Mandarin, Malay, and English.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between shipper, shipping agent and internal supply chain on the importation of goods.
  • Handle and manage import related shipping documentation.
  • Monitor shipment status and coordinate with suppliers, agents and internal stakeholders for customs clearance to meet expected delivery time.
  • Prepare and submit Sales & Service Tax (SST) related reports to Finance & Customs.
  • Ensure business operations comply with company procedures, policy, Malaysian law and best practice.
  • Check completeness and accuracy of shipping documentation.
  • Liaise with freight forwarder/liners to obtain best freight rates.
  • Work effectively across organizations for successful execution of supply chain support.
  • Conduct internal coordination with sales, finance, warehouse, haulage, and other departments.
  • Liaise with Custom Malaysia for any new changes in regulations.
  • Perform other adhoc tasks assigned from time to time.

  • Prepare and submit Sales & Service Tax (SST) related reports to Finance & Customs.
  • Ensure business operations comply with company procedures, policy, Malaysian law and best practice.
  • Check completeness and accuracy of shipping documentation and ensure immediate submission to transporters or freight forwarders to avoid delays and storage charges.
  • Liaise with freight forwarder/liners to obtain best freight rates, inland transportation rate, insurance rate and sailing schedule based on agreed delivery term.
  • Work effectively across organizations to ensure successful execution of supply chain support on many integrated efforts.
  • Conduct internal coordination with sales, finance, warehouse, haulage, transport, logistic department and other related department and external parties to fulfil agent’s or customer’s requirements.
  • Liaise with Custom Malaysia for any new changes in regulations.
  • Perform other adhoc tasks assigned from time to time.
