We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled legal professional to join our growing team, Cayman Consulting Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal counsel, risk management, and compliance support across our diverse business operations with pragmatic legal advice.

What you’ll be doing

• Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various commercial contracts; maintain templates and oversee contract lifecycle.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Monitor legal/regulatory changes, advise on risks, and strengthen internal policies and controls; conduct compliance reviews.
• Legal Advisory and Business Support: Provide practical legal support to business teams; assist with investments, mergers & acquisitions, and major projects; join key negotiations.
• Dispute Resolution and Litigation Management: Handle litigation, arbitration, and disputes; manage external counsel; prepare required documentation and evidence.
• Corporate Governance and Administration: Support board/shareholder matters; oversee company seals, chops, and business license management.

What we’re looking for

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Law or above. Eligible to practice law in Malaysia.
• 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a legal role, preferably with exposure to a range of commercial, corporate, and compliance matters.
• Experience in the environmental field is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Malaysian laws and regulations, particularly related to corporate transactions, immigration, and compliance.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Business proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, professional ethics, and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Strong business acumen paired with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
