Lecturer – MBBS (Medicine)
To undertake teaching duties and related functions of preparation, assessment, moderation and curriculum development. You will be assigned not more than 252 contact hours per 4‑month block. The management reserves the right to revise workload from time to time. If the workload exceeds 252 contact hours, remuneration will be provided accordingly.
- Develop learning materials, schemes of work and maintain progress, achievement and attendance records.
- Upload and update content in Online Learning Management System.
- Design and assign quizzes, assignments, tutorials, projects, tests, oral presentations and other learning activities.
- Monitor attendance and student progress.
- Provide academic and pastoral advice, academic counselling and extra help to weak students.
- Supervise student projects, field trips and placements.
- Produce, collate and moderate high‑quality exam papers and invigilate class tests and final exams, ensuring proper examination environment and preventing academic dishonesty.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum, syllabus and course structure reviews through Subject Specialist Groups (SSG).
- Develop and drive new pedagogical approaches supported by online learning and real‑life industry projects.
- Recommend and develop new programmes supported by market data and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with faculty or centre for operational planning, including workload planning, timetabling, student retention programmes and institutional development activities and compliance matters.
Research, Scholarship & Consultancy
- Contribute to research, scholarly activity and/or innovation approved by the University.
- Develop and diversify links with external contacts such as other educational bodies, businesses, the public sector and professional bodies to foster collaboration, secure student placement and build relationships for future activities.
Other Tasks
- Work in collaboration with sales & marketing to achieve targeted student enrolment, including organising school talks, open days, program previews and academic counselling.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
Role Requirements
Education / Academic Qualification:
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC).
- Registered with MMC and holds a valid Practising Certificate (APC).
Preferred / Additional Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree (e.g., Master’s in Medical Sciences, Clinical Specialty).
- Clinical experience (typically 1–3 years post‑housemanship).
- PhD for teaching and research‑intensive roles.
Lecturer – Nursing
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) / Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare‑related field.
- Clinical experience in relevant nursing field (1–3 years recommended).
- Teaching experience or familiarity with nursing curriculum and assessments.
Other Requirements:
- Teaching permit or institutional approval if required.
- Compliance with MQA / MOHE regulations.
- For expatriates: valid work pass and teaching permit.
