We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Lecturer in Early Childhood Education to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, designing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. This role requires a passion for teaching and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for careers in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops on topics related to early childhood education.
- Design and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments, in alignment with program objectives.
- Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, examinations, and practical teaching experiences.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic and professional growth.
- Supervise and mentor students in their fieldwork, internships, or practicum experiences.
- Stay updated with the latest research, trends, and best practices in early childhood education and integrate them into teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance curriculum offerings.
- Participate in departmental meetings, faculty development programs, and institutional activities.
- Engage in research and activities related to early childhood education.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide reports as required by the institution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with children 0-7 years.
- Experience in teaching at the higher education level is welcomed.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, curriculum development, and assessment strategies.
- Experience in student/educator evaluation and academic advising.
- Familiarity with current research and trends in early childhood education.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Experience in online or blended learning environments is an advantage.
