A private educational institution in Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a qualified instructor to teach Accounting. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in accounting or a relevant field, and preferably 1 year of teaching experience. Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, delivering student-centered lessons, and providing academic counselling. Candidates with professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA will be an advantage. Good communication skills in English and the ability to work with diverse students are essential for this role.
To review, update and develop lesson plans, scheme of work, lectures/practical, tutorials, assignments, and class discussion in compliance with the syllabus.
To deliver student‑centred lessons in accordance with the approved syllabi and scheme of work for subjects assigned.
To conduct formative and summative assessments on a timely manner.
To monitor and report student progress in terms of academic performance and attendance.
To provide academic counselling and pastoral care to all students.
To conduct and invigilate examinations.
To assist in the preparation of documentation for new programmes or review of existing programmes to regulatory bodies when required.
Assist in promotional and marketing events, and fairs and exhibitions of the college when required.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in accounting or in the relevant field. Candidates with professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, etc.) will be an advantage.
Preferably with 1 year experience in teaching Accounting, Audit and Taxation.
Good presentation skills and command in written and spoken English.
A strong knowledge of the subject area combined with a broad subject background enabling contributions to teaching programmes.
Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with students and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds.
