Leasing Manager (Fashion & Beauty - Mall)

A premium lifestyle retail mall developed by a reputable property development and investment holdings in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive market research on competitive leasing trends within the geographical and catchment areas.
• Oversee the full leasing process, including planning, tenant sourcing, negotiations, administration, deal closure, and budget forecasting, with a focus on maximizing rental income, occupancy, and profitability by attracting desirable tenants.
• Source new, suitable tenants that align with the tenant mix plan, thinking creatively to introduce unique and high-quality brands within the premium fashion, luxury apparel, and cosmetic beauty sectors.
• Lead tenant remixing efforts, focusing on attracting fashion and beauty brands to enhance the mall's appeal.
• Cultivate strong relationships with tenants, stakeholders, business partners and other key contacts.
• Oversee lease agreement negotiations and execution, ensuring compliance with legal standards and protecting the landlord's interests.
• Collaborate with legal teams to draft standard tenancy agreements, including landlord and tenant provisions, house rules, and fit‑out guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• 6‒8 years of experience in mall leasing, with a proven track record.
• At least 3 years of this experience must be dedicated to dealing with fashion and beauty tenants.
• In‑depth, proven knowledge of the Malaysian, regional, and international retail landscape with a focus on trends, pricing, and key players in premium fashion, luxury brands, high‑end accessories, and cosmetic beauty concepts.
• Established connections with non‑mainstream retail brands is a distinct advantage.
