Job summary

A leading property management firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced professional to manage leasing plans and tenant relations for a shopping mall. This role requires a degree in Marketing or related fields, along with at least 2 years of experience in shopping centre leasing. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing marketing activities, monitoring market activities, and handling leasing documentation efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in shopping centre leasing.
  • Ability to interpret tenancy agreements and other documents.
  • Computer literate and capable of writing business letters.

Responsibilities

Manage Leasing Plan for the Mall including product / tenant mix, rental & budget according to agreed targets.

Execute marketing & communication activities to improve tenant relationship and build up network with potential tenants.

Monitor and report on market & competitor activities, and prepares relevant weekly & monthly reports.

To assist in negotiations with prospective tenant on leasing of properties under the Group and follow through with all necessary documentation & procedure to conclude deals ie. preparation of Letter Offers, Tenancy Agreements, collection of Deposits, signing of agreements, handover of premises, rental payments and renewal of leases.

Ensure that tenants are consistent with the retail plan and the positioning of the shopping mall.

Ensure that all leasing documentations are in good order.

To assist in adhoc assignments as and when is required.

Requirements
  • Possess Degree or Diploma in Marketing and other related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years’ of relevant working experience in shopping centre leasing with good contacts of retailers.
  • Good grasp of leasing principles, retail market and product offer development (malls / tenants).
  • Able to read & interpret documents such as tenancy agreement, safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Positive, aggressive and possess strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills particularly in English.
  • Computer literate & competent in writing business letters and proposals.
