Job description

This position has the primary responsibility for the management and processing of efficiency projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Collaborates with employees and management to enhance productivity and quality standards and is responsible for implementing the manufacturing goals and objectives of the business and manages various projects to reduce manufacturing costs by instituting quality methodologies. Responsible for best practices in manufacturing, supporting continuous improvement procedures and efficiency, as well as minimizing waste and reducing costs. Responsible for implementation and coaching of production time analysis (MTM).

What you’ll be doing

• Responsible for the management and processing of efficiency projects using Lean and Six Sigma methods
• Coaching of operations in Lean and Six Sigma
• Implementation and coaching of production time analysis (MTM)
• To develop methods that would help in reducing the cost without compromising on the quality standards to ensure increased efficiency and quality and make recommendations
• To evaluate various improvements that need to be done and create value analysis and to look out for ways to reduce the costs in the engineering and manufacturing applications
• Prepare product cost estimates including materials, labor, overhead and machine costs
• Participate in feasibility studies and cost analysis for new product designs
• Work with R&D or Engineering to evaluate manufacturability and cost impact of design changes
• Assist in setting initial process parameters and cost standards for mass production
• Analyze cost variances between standard cost vs actual cost to explain deviations
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required

What we’re looking for

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Professional and experiences in project management in a comparable position
• 7+ years of experience in process development in an electro‑mechanical production environment
• Experience in Lean Management and Six Sigma
• MTM knowledge
• SAP knowledge (module PP)
• Strong Analytical Capability
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Structured and independent way of working
• Confident appearance and hands‑on mentality
• Willingness to travel, able and willing to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on‑call hours as needed
