About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Lead, Strategy & Special Projects to join our Group Strategy team at RHB Banking Group. Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Special Projects, this is a managerial role where you will lead strategic initiatives that shape the Group’s long-term direction. You will manage a team of project leaders and analysts, and act as an internal strategy advisor on high-impact business topics across the Group.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support the definition of the Group’s long-term strategy and future direction, working closely with senior leadership.
• Develop and drive strategic initiatives across the Group in collaboration with key business and functional stakeholders.
• Lead and manage end-to-end execution of strategic projects, from problem definition to implementation.
• Act as an internal strategy consultant on ad-hoc, high-priority business issues faced by the Group.
• Oversee, coach, and develop a team of project leaders and junior analysts to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Conduct rigorous business, financial, and operational analyses to support decision-making and strategy formulation.
• Prepare clear, compelling presentations and recommendations for senior management and governance forums.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with strong stakeholder alignment.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree from a top global university, minimum second class upper or equivalent.
• MBA from a top-tier business school is a strong advantage.
• CFA or ACCA qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
• Background in reputable strategy consulting firms is highly preferred.
• Exposure to the financial services industry through prior roles or project experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with solid experience in financial and business case modelling.
• Excellent project management and execution capabilities.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and coaching teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
• Growth-oriented mindset with a strong willingness to learn.
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
