Job summary

A leading electronics manufacturing service provider in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Product Design Engineer to lead product development from concept to production. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in product development and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Responsibilities include managing prototyping, conducting DFMEA, and collaborating with external partners. This role requires CAD proficiency and offers a chance to innovate in product design.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in product development.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design from concept to prototype.
• Manage prototyping, material selection, testing, and validation.
• Conduct DFMEA to identify and mitigate risks.
• Oversee supplier coordination and ensure quality compliance.
• Support ODM/JDM collaborations and technical guidance.
• Resolve design issues, optimize solutions, and document improvements.
• Assist in verification and validation for compliance.
• Create and manage BOMs and support production planning.
• Conduct FTO analyses to mitigate IP risks.
• Collaborate with external partners for innovative concept development.
