- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Mechanical Engineers to design control systems that ensure the intended function is performed safely and reliably.
- Technical Implementation: Design, modify, and implement systems that meet both customer and internal needs, including the creation of:
- Schematics and Electrical Panel Layouts (using tools like SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD).
- Cable Routing Diagrams and Bills of Material (BOM).
- Analysis & Calculations: Perform detailed engineering calculations for power consumption, current capacity, shielding, signal integrity, and risk assessments related to automation machinery.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and test new product prototypes; perform simulations, measurements, and troubleshooting to validate that designs meet performance, quality, and cost goals.
- Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., CE, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, UL 508A).
- Documentation & Support: Create detailed reports and documentation, and provide technical support throughout the entire manufacturing process.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a technical liaison with suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal teams, including attending and interacting in technical customer meetings.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of relevant professional experience in electrical design, control systems, or automation engineering.
- Technical Proficiency (Must‑Have Skills):
- Strong knowledge of Control Systems, Safety Circuits, PLC/PC, Industrial HMI, and Pneumatics.
- Hands‑on experience with Servo Motor and Stepper Motor control.
- Expertise in Schematic Design (Digital, Analog, AC/DC Controls) and Electrical Panel Layout.
- Proficiency in schematic modeling and generation software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD).
- Experience with Power Distribution and Power Switching Supply.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and test automation equipment, including I/O distribution and sensor selection.
- Core Competencies:
- Ability to manage single‑line engineering projects.
- Strong creative problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders.
