Landscape Site Supervisor/C.O.W cum Horticulturist

An established company since in 1982, is a pioneer in the field of landscape architecture and environmental planning in Malaysia. Invited suitably qualified candidates (contract basis) to apply for this position urgently for 5 months (Contract Basis).

Job Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Management, Horticulture, or Certified Arborist (e.g. ISA) or equivalent is strong asset.

Minimum 10 years experiences.

Good communication and presentation skills. Fluency in English both written and spoken.

Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment, multitasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Able to interpret landscape drawings and knowledge of construction drawings and specifications, explain details during coordination.

Must possess your own transport.

Possess with good public relation with all Local Authorities and possess strong networking contact with Landscape Contractors, Specialist, Suppliers and Clients.

Understanding of environmental regulations and landscape standards.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Job Responsibilities

Manage staff scheduling, monitor daily duties, manpower to ensure all landscape works are perfectly done/maintained.

To monitor the work carried out so that it complies with the program and quality according to the concept, especially the soft landscape works.

To provide appropriate guidance and advice regarding landscape works to the appointed contractor where deem necessary.

To prepare weekly report on the site works progress and issues arising.

Horticultural Oversight

To ensure from the implementation stage, especially the felling, relocation and replanting of existing trees are carried out satisfactorily. Plan and oversee the planting, transplanting, pruning, and feeding of flowers, shrubs, and trees.

Chemical Safety

Ensure the safe and proper application of chemicals for pest, disease, and weed control in strict compliance with OSH standards.

Aesthetic Maintenance

Oversee the removal of waste/weeds, the application of mulch, and the painting/refinishing of outdoor furnishings to maintain high aesthetic standards.

Equipment Care

Monitor the proper use and maintenance of manual tools and power equipment (mowers, tillers, clippers, etc.), ensuring all tools are in safe working condition.

Technical Knowledge

Deep understanding of soil conditions, plant nutrition, and tropical landscaping.

Knowledge of OSH standards, particularly regarding chemical handling and power tool safety.

Reporting

Successful candidates will be reporting for duty and stationed Shah Alam, Selangor.
