Job summary

A leading landscaping firm in Ipoh is seeking a Junior/Senior Quantity Surveyor responsible for preparing cost estimates and monitoring project costs. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey and at least 4 years of experience in the landscape industry. Knowledge of Autocad, Microsoft Office, and strong analytical skills are essential. The role offers the opportunity to guide team members and ensure compliance with procurement processes while negotiating with suppliers.

Landscape Junior/Senior Quantity Surveyor

Prepare and review cost estimation, tender documents, and BOQ accuracy

Provide cost planning advice and conduct risk assessment on pricing and quotations

Supervise and monitor QS-related tasks, ensuring quality and timely submission

Guide and support team members in measurement methods, cost tracking, and claim preparation

Review site measurements and verify progress claims & variation orders (VO)

Ensure proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes

Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on commercial terms

Monitor project cost-to-complete vs budget and highlight potential variances

Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecast

Ensure compliance with company SOPs for procurement, claims, and documentation

Propose process improvements for efficiency and accuracy

Support Project Manager and APM in commercial decision-making

Attend coordination meetings as a commercial representative

Handle ad-hoc QS and commercial tasks assigned by management

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.

At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the landscape field is required for this position.

Knowledge in Autocad, Microsoft Office.

Good understanding of cost estimation, tender, contract administration, progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts

Familiar with procurement process, supplier/subcontractor negotiation

Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing

Strong analytical and numerical skills
