Job summary

A local pharmacy in Malaysia seeks a skilled pharmacy technician to compound medications that are not commercially available. Responsibilities include following proprietary formulations, checking the expiry of ingredients, ensuring a clean laboratory workspace, and assisting with monthly stock takes. Candidates with experience in pharmacy operations and a strong adherence to safety protocols will be preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow safety guidelines in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in compounding medications or pharmacy operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow proprietary formulations to compound commercially unavailable prescriptions.
• Check expiry of compounding ingredients routinely.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and equipment.
• Calibrate and document scales and meters accurately.
• Assist with monthly inventory of compounding ingredients.

• Follow proprietary formulations to compound commercially unavailable prescriptions into appropriate dosage form.
• Routinely check expiry of compounding ingredients.
• Properly use all equipment in the laboratory that is necessary to make the compound in a clean work environment.
• Ensure the lab and related equipment are cleaned and maintained according to our standard operating procedures.
• Calibration and proper documentation of scales, electronic meters etc.
• Follow all safety guidelines for preparation of compounded medications.
• Assist in monthly stock take of compounding ingredients.
