Job summary

A leading food development company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a candidate to assist in the Food Development and Application Department. Responsibilities include conducting product research, handling halal applications, and preparing product samples for analysis. This role requires a Diploma in Food Technology or a related field, and good communication skills in English and Malay. Candidates with at least 1 year of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Food Technology / Nutrition / Dietetics.
• Preferably at least 1 year of related working experience.
• Preferably Non-Executive specializing in Science / R&D / Research or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Overview

Assist the Food Development and Application Department in product research, development, and application.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food Development and Application Department in product research, development, and application.
• Assist in Food Development and Application Department in handling halal application and sensory preparation.
• Perform laboratory scale production of prototypes for new or improved products.
• Responsible for conducting scale-up tests from laboratory scale to commercial plant scale.
• Carry out necessary physical and chemical property analyses on prototype products according to approved Standard Operating Procedures, including shelf life, flowability, size distribution, specific volume, and other properties.
• Prepare and send samples for analysis to Q.C. Lab, Bio-Lab, or other analytical laboratories as instructed.
• Calculate, prepare, and maintain test data and analysis reports in a systematic manner.
• Prepare and pack product samples for internal stock and distribution to customers.
• Participate in internal and external sensory tests.
• Ensure raw materials are used economically, labelled, and preserved properly.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are used correctly, maintained in good working order, and stored in their proper places.
• Carry out packaging and packing tests following instructions and experimental design by related executive and supervisor.
• Monitor the internal sample request form in a systematic manner.
• Participate in 5S activities.
• Participate in safety and environmental activities and follow its rules.
