Job description

The Principal is responsible for higher level day to day operations in a school, create a safe learning environment and set performance goals for both teachers and students.

Responsibilities:

Serve as educational leader for the professional and classified staff in the school and cooperate with administration to determine the goals and objective for the schools.

Responsible for efficient and smooth running of the school.

Plan and work with administration, and evaluation of all aspects of the educational program.

Work with teachers and students in developing a common understanding of disciplinary procedures and expected behavior in the framework of board policy as well as explaining and interpreting procedures to handle all emergencies arising in the school.

Strive to develop and maintain a system of records that will indicate students’ progress in relation to selected goals and objectives of the school.

Monitor and maintain an overview of the curriculum and co-curriculum to ensure effective implementation and ensure the highest possible quality of education for the children.

Ensure overall well-being and safety of the children, responsible for regular good communication with every parent.

Constantly inspire, motivate teachers and ensuring that they are passionate and proficient in teaching young children.

Orients and assists new staff and new students and provide opportunities for their input in the school.

Requirement:

Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education or other related subject that includes a teacher preparation program/ SPM with good grades.

Preferably 8 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher and 4 years as principal.

Have patience and passion to teach and deal with young children.

Pedagogical, team player, committed, dedicated, proactive.

Ability to prepare and follow fun appropriate activities according to lesson plan.

Good command of written and spoken in English and Malay. Mandarin will be an added advantage.
