Job summary

A construction safety management firm in Kota Tinggi, Johor is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to monitor and enforce safety requirements per OSHA and project standards. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, managing safety documentation, leading safety meetings, and promoting a positive safety culture. A valid Yellow Book certificate is required for this role, and previous experience will be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Possess a valid Yellow Book / Site Safety Supervisor certificate (or equivalent recognized qualification).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce site safety requirements in accordance with OSHA, DOSH, and project safety standards.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, identify safety hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and inductions for workers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including risk assessments, JSA, incident reports, and safety checklists.
  • Investigate accidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues, and recommend preventive measures.
  • Ensure workers comply with PPE requirements and safe work procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors on safety-related matters.
  • Assist in developing and updating the Site Safety Plan and Emergency Response Plan.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project team.
  • Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
