A leading technology company in Penang is seeking a Junior Sales Operations Analyst to support planning and forecasting operations for the EMEA and APAC regions. Overview

Sales Operations Forecast & Planning team supports the sales team with preparing sales plan/forecast, verifying results, and managing opportunities. Works closely with departments on orders and sales goals.

Responsibilities

Junior Sales Operations Analyst based in Penang hub supports APAC and EMEA regions.

  • Dual‑Region Planning: support planning and forecasting teams for EMEA and APAC.
  • Backlog Management: verify and clear backlog data across regions to ensure global data integrity.
  • Reporting & Analytics: create and distribute regular backlog report; prepare actual performance results for regional leadership in APAC and EMEA.
  • Tools & Development: maintain and develop reporting tools for Orders, Sales, and other business‑critical information.
  • Operational Support: collaborate with wider Sales Operations organization, provide coverage for team members across regions and manage ad‑hoc tasks.
  • Strategic Reporting: prepare ad‑hoc reports to assist regional directors in identifying sales trends and operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications

Education: University degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.

Technical Skills: Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, data visualization). Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Experience: 1 year of demonstrable experience in a data‑driven or analytical environment (Shared Service Center experience is a plus).

Soft Skills: Ability to work under pressure to meet strict month‑end and quarter‑end deadlines. Proactive team player who can work independently during Malaysia morning and coordinate with EMEA colleagues in late afternoon.

Communication: Excellent written and spoken English.
