Additional Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on all Health & Safety (H&S) related matters in the facility.
• Prepare & maintain H&S check list identified in the facility.
• Conduct daily head count & record of both permanent & temporary workers and staff in the facility.
• Check the permit‑to‑work records of all temporary staff, and record and maintain the work timings of all temporary workers.
• Arrange and ensure all workers are wearing proper uniforms and safety boots.
• Ensure timeliness and discipline during break times.
• Conduct daily rounds of the facility to identify any abnormalities and hazards and coordinate with the supervisor for the same; both inside the facility and outside the perimeter of the facility.
• Maintain discipline and harmony in the facility in coordination with the supervisors and the manager.
• Bring to management notice any indiscipline / disruptive / dishonest conduct by workers.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities as well as client’s personnel for safety measures.
• Carry out periodic H&S training and safety awareness for all staff to encourage them to work in a safe way.
• Arrange external training for staff and workers.
• Maintain a training sheet of staff undergone trainings on fire & safety, first aid, evacuation and forklift.
• Prepare incident & accident reports, and suggest preventive and corrective actions.
• Action all the remedial actions recommended by management in the incident & accident reports.
• Inspect, maintain and keep records of the safety equipment and tools; arrange for their periodic checkup and repair.
• In‑charge of first aid kits and shall keep stock & records of items in the kits and also arrange for its daily replenishment.
• Provide first aid to staff if required.
• Provide first aid refresher trainings to staff.
• Participate in conducting evacuation drills, as well as responsible for leading the emergency evacuation with a designated evacuation team.
• Check and ensure emergency exit doors are well maintained.
• Conduct safety induction training for all new workers & staff.
• Supervise, mentor and control the security guards and their functions.
• Monitor confined space activities and pallet stacking.
• Implement a proper waste management system; housekeeping systems in workplaces & maintain social hygiene.
