We are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed MALPAKAT GROUP SDN BHD team in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall construction process by providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations. What you’ll be doing

• Preparing and analysing detailed bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents
• Monitoring and controlling project costs throughout the construction lifecycle
• Negotiating and managing subcontractor and supplier contracts
• Preparing and reviewing monthly progress reports and payment claims
• Assisting in the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes
• Collaborating with project managers, site teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects

What we’re looking for

• Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• 1‑3 years of experience in a quantity surveying or cost management role within the construction industry
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Attention to detail and a proactive problem‑solving mindset
• Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations, and industry best practices
