Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and oversee all site operations to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications for retaining wall construction.
• Conduct daily inspections of retaining wall works, supervise contractors and sub‑contractors, identify defects, and implement corrective or improvement actions.
• Investigate and analyse reported defects, failures, or breakdowns in retaining wall structures to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Monitor and manage structural defects, pre‑handover inspections, and handover procedures, including compiling defect lists for completed retaining wall projects.
• Track progress of defect rectification, evaluate contractor performance, and ensure timely completion of remedial works.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation and reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, inspection records, and other relevant project documents in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, sub‑contractors, and relevant authorities regarding QA/QC matters.
• Attend site meetings and prepare monthly progress reports.
• Ensure all QA/QC documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date, and properly filed for audit and compliance purposes.
• Monitor compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and safety regulations throughout the retaining wall construction process.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as assigned by the QA/QC Manager to support project quality objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a degree in construction related discipline.
• Minimum of 2–3 years working experience in the construction industry and experience as a QA/QC Engineer.
• Possess good problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility and initiative, good professional work ethics, good teamwork awareness, and ability to coordinate effectively.
• Assess the quality of contract works based on the QLASSIC/CONQUAS system.
