Job Description

The Junior GTAW / TIG Welder is responsible for performing high‑precision welding on stainless steel and other specified materials using TIG welding techniques. This role supports the manufacturing and production team by ensuring welded components meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The TIG Welder plays a critical role in delivering defect‑free, high‑quality components in a controlled and precision‑focused manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the welding process and perform in‑process inspections and testing in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
• Perform TIG welding on small and large stainless steel precision components in various positions (flat, vertical, and overhead) to meet semiconductor industry requirements.
• Ensure smooth and consistent weld beads to achieve a high‑quality surface finish and prevent defects or contamination.
• Inspect welded joints and surfaces to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and workmanship requirements.
• Carry out corrective welding and rework as necessary to meet quality and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and contamination‑controlled work area in compliance with safety, quality, and clean manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Welding, Mechanical, or related technical field.
• Basic knowledge of TIG/GTAW welding processes and equipment.
• Ability to read simple engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Willingness to learn and follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of stainless steel materials is an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and workmanship.
• Able to work under supervision and as part of a team.
