Junior Back-End Developer (PHP Laravel)

Project: Personal Financing & Loan
Salary: RM4,500 – RM6,000 (depending on seniority)

We are looking for a Junior Back-End Developer with hands‑on experience in PHP Laravel to join our IT team. You will work on projects involving personal loan systems and other in‑house platforms, ensuring efficiency, performance, and seamless integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend features using PHP Laravel.
• Optimise SQL queries to improve system performance.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for frontend and third‑party integrations.
• Participate in projects such as in‑house chat applications, finance & accounting systems, data integrations, and external API connections.
• Stay proactive in learning new skills and technologies to enhance project delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other related fields.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in PHP Laravel backend development is preferred.
• Proficiency in MySQL, with experience in writing complex queries and performance tuning.
• Familiar with Git/GitHub and version control best practices.
• Knowledge of Node.js or Python.
• Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Experience in building AI chatbot applications or integrating external APIs is an advantage.
