A finance company is looking for a Junior Account Executive to assist with various accounting tasks across Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. The ideal candidate will manage accounts payable/receivable, prepare bank reconciliations, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations. A diploma in Accounting or Finance with 1–3 years of relevant experience, along with strong analytical and organizational skills, is preferred. Familiarity with accounting software and Excel is advantageous. This role requires a high level of confidentiality and the ability to work independently.
Assist the Finance Manager with a range of accounting tasks across Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
Handle AP data entry for suppliers, utilities, rental, logistics, and service providers for Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
Prepare AR invoices for customers in all three countries and send monthly statements of account (SOA).
Record receipts, payments, credit notes, and debit notes accurately by country.
Prepare bank reconciliations for all Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand bank accounts.
Update daily cashflow positions for each country (incoming & outgoing).
Handle online payments, petty cash, and payment vouchers.
Record stock receipts, stock issuance, and transfer of inventory between countries.
Record all freight charges, shipping costs, and customs-related fees.
Coordinate with warehouse team on stock count and reconcile discrepancies for each country.
Prepare monthly journal entries:
Assist in closing P&L for all three countries by ensuring timely and accurate posting.
Maintain monthly Balance Sheet schedules for each country (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets, advances, prepayments).
Assist with Malaysia SST preparation and submission.
Prepare supporting documents for Singapore GST and Thailand VAT (if required by HQ or external accountant).
Ensure documentation for all 3 countries is complete and compliant.
Prepare intercompany documents for transactions with China HQ or between Malaysia–SG–Thailand entities.
Reconcile intercompany balances monthly.
Handle inquiries on invoices, statements, and payment status from all 3 countries.
Send customer reminders for overdue payments.
Coordinate with suppliers/logistics across Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore for payment matters.
Prepare documents and schedules for annual audit for Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand entities.
Support Account Manager/Finance Manager in preparing monthly financial reports for HQ.
Maintain proper filing system for accounts documents (soft copy & hard copy) by country.
Ensure all finance documents are properly labeled and traceable for audit or compliance purposes.
