Job summary

A manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking an individual to manage daily stock records, coordinate work orders, and ensure all jobs meet quality standards. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years related experience, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to speak both English and Mandarin. This role involves liaising with suppliers in China and assisting in production management. The ideal candidate will be proactive in problem-solving and improving efficiency in operations.

  • Responsible for daily upkeep of stock records and replenishment requests.

  • Update work order status to Production in a timely manner.

Job description

Responsible for the daily upkeep of sub-material stock records and requesting replenishment when stock levels are low.

Distribute Work Orders, Purchase Orders, and related documents to the appropriate departments.

Update work order status to Production on a timely basis.

Updating the work order status to production from time to time.

Coordinate the closing of work orders.

Ensure all jobs meet quality and timeline requirements and continuously improve efficiency.

Provide support to Production and Management as needed.

Confirm job orders after they are approved and signed by the Department Head.

Receive materials and verify them against the Purchase Order.

Assist in analyzing sales order releases for capacity planning and material requirements.

Prepare Job Orders and Purchase Orders and manage job order issuance.

Communicate and confirm job orders with suppliers in China.

Issue Good Return Notes to suppliers when goods received are of unacceptable quality or incorrect quantity.

Prepare Outwork Delivery Orders / Outwork Pass-Out Notes.

Arrange delivery, receiving schedules, and collections, and update the status of sub-contract jobs to PPNC and Production.

Close sub-contract manual jobs and submit documentation to the Accounts Department.

REQUIREMENT

A minimum of 2 years of related professional experience is preferred.

Good coordination, communication, and quality control work skills in manufacturing processes.

Works with integrity and ethically.

Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required. The ability to speak both English and Mandarin is preferred, as the role involves communicating with suppliers from China.
