Job summary

Job description

Provide first-level support to users on hardware, software, network, and system issues.

Respond to IT helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution.

Assist in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, including remote troubleshooting via phone or email.

2. Hardware & Software Maintenance

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.).

Ensure software updates, patches, and antivirus definitions are current.

Assist in maintaining an inventory of hardware and software assets.

3. Network & Systems Support

Support basic network setup and maintenance (e.g., LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity).

Monitor system performance and report irregularities to senior IT staff.

Assist in managing user accounts and access permissions (Active Directory, email, etc.).

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain documentation of support issues and resolutions.

Assist in updating IT policies, procedures, and user guides.

Prepare reports on IT support activities and inventory updates.

5. IT Projects & Rollouts

Support IT infrastructure projects such as hardware rollouts, system migrations, and upgrades.

Participate in testing and deployment of new tools and systems under supervision.

6. Security & Compliance

Help monitor compliance with IT security policies.

Report any suspected security incidents to senior IT personnel.

Optional Skills/Responsibilities (based on organization needs)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other enterprise tools.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Support for company website or internal systems (e.g., CMS, ERP).
