Mesiniaga Berhad is seeking an experienced IT Technician to join our dynamic team in Bayan Lepas, Penang. As a full-time IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and reliable IT support to our clients, ensuring their technology infrastructure functions seamlessly.

What you’ll be doing

• Respond to and resolve a wide range of IT-related issues and queries from users in a timely and professional manner
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network equipment
• Provide first-line troubleshooting and problem-solving for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
• Liaise with users to understand their technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions
• Maintain detailed records of all support activities and resolutions
• Assist in the implementation of new IT systems and technologies
• Collaborate with the broader IT team to ensure the smooth running of the company's technology infrastructure

What we’re looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in a similar IT technician or support role
• Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and networking fundamentals
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of technical issues
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• A positive, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Knowledge of common IT software and operating systems, such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
