IT TECHNICAL EXECUTIVE (OVERALL FLEET MANAGEMENT SDN BHD)
We are seeking a proactive and technically competent IT Technical Support Executive to support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and end-user environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, system administration, cybersecurity monitoring, and participation in IT projects to ensure stable and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, servers, and applications.
- Perform day-to-day operational support for IT infrastructure, including network, wireless, servers, and end‑user systems.
- Monitor and maintain physical, virtual, and cloud server environments, including storage and backup systems.
- Conduct daily server health checks and scheduled monthly/quarterly maintenance.
- Perform data backup and restoration for servers and critical user data.
- Monitor cybersecurity alerts and take immediate action against ransomware, malware, or security threats.
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and DHCP.
- Participate in IT infrastructure and system implementation projects.
- Analyze, track, and resolve IT incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
- Prepare IT documentation, reports, proposals, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
- Provide Level 1 support for CCTV, IP PABX and VOIP systems including call center environments.
- Provide after‑hours or on‑call IT support when required.
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication, or equivalent.
- At least 1–2 years of working experience in IT support, infrastructure, or system administration.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of networking (Level 1 support), including:
- Routers, switches, VLAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Firewall administration (Fortinet preferred).
- Experience with IP PABX, VOIP and CCTV systems.
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Windows Server, Hyper‑V, and basic Linux.
- Active Directory (GPO), DNS, DHCP.
- Endpoint security and XDR solutions (Sophos preferred).
- Backup solutions (Veeam, Synology, others).
- Possession of relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, Security+, ITIL) is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Willing to provide after‑hours support when required.
