IT Support Engineer (Multi-site Manufacturing Environment)

The local IT team works under Group IT architecture and standards, focusing on on‑site IT operations and user support across multiple plant locations.

Position Overview

The IT Support Engineer is part of the local IT Operations team and is responsible for providing hands‑on IT support across multiple manufacturing sites. This role focuses on daily user support, local infrastructure operations, and IT asset management, while coordinating with Group IT on server and core network‑related matters.

This position is suitable for candidates with practical IT support experience who are able to operate independently in a manufacturing environment.

1. Multi‑site End‑user & On‑site IT Support

• Provide day‑to‑day IT support to users across multiple plant locations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PCs, printers, scanners, and IP phones
• Perform on‑site support to ensure smooth daily operations with minimal downtime

2. Local IT Infrastructure & Facility Systems Support

• Support and maintain local IT infrastructure, including LAN, switches, and Wi‑Fi
• Perform basic network troubleshooting in accordance with Group IT standards
• Participation and supervision of new and upgraded IT infrastructure projects
• Maintain and support plant‑level systems such as CCTV and door access control systems

3. IT Asset & Operational Management

• Manage IT asset inventory including requisition, deployment, IQC, replacement, and lifecycle tracking
• Perform hardware installation, upgrades, and basic configuration
• Maintain IT documentation, asset records, and operational procedures

4. Coordination & IT Operations Support

• Coordinate with Group IT (HQ) on server and core network‑related matters
• Support the implementation of Group IT standards, systems, and IT‑related projects at site level
• Act as a local IT contact point for coordination with internal departments and Group IT teams

Job Requirements

1. Technical & Experience Requirements
   • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related fields
   • Relevant working experience in IT support, especially in a manufacturing or multi‑site environment, is preferred
   • Hands‑on experience supporting PCs, printers, and basic network environments
   • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts
2. Work Environment & Professional Skills
   • Comfortable working in a manufacturing / plant environment
   • Able to support multiple sites within the Tanjong Langsat area and nearby locations
   • Able to work independently on routine IT issues while following established procedures
3. Professional Attributes
   • Practical, hands‑on, and service‑oriented mindset
