Job summary

A global insurance and asset management firm is seeking a professional to develop and maintain a robust Information Security and IT risk management program in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will possess 8-10 years of related experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand technology and cyber risks. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with IT risk strategies and monitoring third-party risks. Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in technology and cyber risks and regulatory policies like RMiT.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience is required, preferably in Financial Industry.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Holistic multi-domain knowledge like Enterprise architecture and Infrastructure is necessary.
• Understand IT project management lifecycle to identify project risks beyond technical risks.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing is important.

You're responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Information Security and IT risk management program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Key areas include identification, assessment, and mitigating information security risks.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Ensure IT Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite and action plans are formulated/implemented to meet Allianz Group and BNM's IT requirements/expectations which includes formulating frameworks for Technology Risk Management, Cloud Risk Management and Cyber Resiliency.
• Identify and analyze risks and recommend appropriate mitigation options.
• Escalate the need to change practices to mitigate critical risks and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
• Review business cases and budget submissions to ensure that information security requirements are addressed and adequately resourced.
• Propose continuous improvement processes and activities to ensure quality and relevance of information security practices.
• Define and implement performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of information security programs.
• Monitor and maintain system confidentiality, integrity and availability and manage information security crisis/incidents.
• Perform control testing to evaluate design and effectiveness, by adhering to Group standards.
• Lead Digital Operational Resilience Act's risk related oversight activities to ensure appropriate validation & compliance.
• Promote appropriate risk culture, awareness and organizational change for more sustainable information security practices.
• Oversee the execution of information security projects in collaboration with IT, Security, Risk and Compliance and advise senior management on technology risk & security practices.
• Perform risk assessments on potential cyber threats and ensure timely review and escalation of high risk threats to Senior Management and Board.
• Ensure sufficient oversight of third party and supply chain risk management.
• Provide independent views on third party assessments when necessary.

Important to your success:

• Possesses strong knowledge in technology and cyber risks and regulatory policies like RMiT.
• Minimum 8‑10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Financial Industry.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Have holistic multi‑domain knowledge like Enterprise architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud etc.
• Understands IT project management lifecycle, to be able to identify project risks beyond technical risks.
• Familiar with emerging technology like Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing etc.
• Strong team player with very good interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Independent, business‑minded, pragmatic and result‑orientated with right attitude and analytical skills.
