Overview

The IT Manager oversees the strategic and operational aspects of an organization's IT department. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, leading the IT team, and ensuring the alignment of technology with business goals. The IT Manager is also responsible for setting the department’s vision, driving innovation, and ensuring business continuity while maintaining a secure IT environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor the IT team to achieve department goals.
• Develop and implement strategic IT plans aligned with the company’s objectives.
• Establish, monitor, and improve IT processes and workflows.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the IT department.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of system hardware and software.
• Manage user access, accounts, servers, storage (SAN & NAS), and network devices.
• Ensure the smooth functioning of IT systems, minimizing downtime.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for IT infrastructure, processes, and workflows.
• Develop and enforce security policies to safeguard the organization's data and IT infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage firewalls, security devices, and systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cybersecurity.
• Regularly submit security reports and recommend improvements.
• Design, implement, and manage robust business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
• Oversee off-site systems and processes for backup and continuity.
• Verify the integrity of backups and test recovery processes.
• Submit monthly business continuity reports to senior management.
• Keep the organization ahead in terms of IT technologies and processes.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance productivity and security.
• Recommend and implement innovative solutions to drive business growth.
• Lead and manage the assessment of enterprise risk management, corporate governance, regulatory and operational risk, business continuity, information and security risk so as to protect the Company.
• Responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of ISO documents.
• In charge of internal risk audit & liaison with external risk auditors for any compliance matters.
• Implementing, monitoring, and maintaining of Information Security Management Systems of ISO to clients.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the gaming, animation, or creative industries.
• Strong expertise in cybersecurity, IT infrastructure management, and business continuity planning.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire teams while working collaboratively across departments.
• Knowledge of Python and Next.js as an added advantage.
• Able to understand ISO/IEC27001 – Information security management is preferable.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written) to facilitate effective communication.
• A mature and approachable personality with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to stay current with advancements in IT and apply them effectively.
