Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team during the pre-construction and construction phases of our data center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and setting up the IT infrastructure and server room, with a strong emphasis on cable layouts, installing switches, racks, and other components. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure management and the ability to work without the proper integration of MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Planning

• Assess the specific needs of the data center, including the number of servers, storage requirements, and future expansion plans.
• Develop and deploy cable layouts and infrastructure to support IT equipment, ensuring efficient and organized cabling.
• Plan and manage the installation of cable trays, ensuring proper bending radius and fill ratio.

Server Room Setup

• Oversee the installation of hardware, including switches, racks, and other server room components.
• Set up the server room from scratch, ensuring all components are properly installed without relying on the integration of MEP systems.
• Ensure proper cable management and organization within the server room.

Coordination and Collaboration

• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure seamless integration of project requirements.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and IT specialists, to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and on schedule.

Compliance and Security

• Conduct regular assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain familiarity with security tools and practices relevant to physical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on hardware infrastructure and cabling.
• Strong knowledge of cable management, including the installation of cable trays and maintaining proper bending radius and fill ratio.
• Experience with designing cable layouts and setting up server rooms from scratch.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., RCDD, BICSI) are a plus.
