Purpose Statement
Drives strategic software asset management initiatives, focusing on advanced analytics, automation, and continuous improvement. This role requires deep expertise in complex licensing models and a proactive approach to risk management.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Strategic SAM Program Development and Implementation: developing and implementing advanced SAM strategies, including automation and predictive analytics, and establishing comprehensive software license policies and procedures.
- License Compliance and Audit Management: leading complex software license audits and compliance programs across various platforms and environments, managing and mitigating software license risks and compliance issues.
- Vendor Management and License Optimization: negotiating and managing enterprise-level software license agreements to secure favorable terms and optimize costs, conducting in-depth analysis of software usage and costs to identify optimization opportunities.
- SAM Technology and Cloud Management: implementing and optimizing SAM tools and technologies for advanced license management and managing cloud-based software licensing.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership and Expert Advisory: leading cross‑functional teams to optimize software assets and providing expert advice and guidance to senior management on critical software licensing matters.
- All GT team members are responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity posture by adhering to security policies and procedures, actively participating in training, protecting data and systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and promptly reporting suspicious activity or potential security incidents.
Education / Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in software license management, focusing on enterprise environments.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of related experience in software license management.
- Equivalent experience in software asset management, demonstrating comparable depth of knowledge and expertise.

- Expert knowledge of complex software licensing models, SAM tools, and compliance regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing advanced SAM strategies, including automation techniques and predictive analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to interpret complex licensing agreements and usage data.
- Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
