A technology company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Admin/System Engineer. You will be responsible for maintaining server environments, administering network devices, and ensuring system uptime. The ideal candidate holds a diploma or degree in IT or Computer Science with 3–5 years of experience, proficient in managing Windows Servers and Active Directory. Maintain and manage server room environment and physical servers in rack‑mounted configurations.
Install, configure, and maintain physical servers and virtual machines (VMs).
Administer and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
Manage structured cabling (Ethernet & fiber optics) and power infrastructure (UPS systems).
Maintain and administer Microsoft Active Directory, domain controllers, group policy, and DNS.
Ensure system reliability, uptime, and security of Windows Server environments.
Develop, implement, and manage the company's backup and recovery strategies and procedures.
Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Implement and enforce security best practices related to the IT infrastructure.
Work with IT Head and vendors on infrastructure upgrades, patch management, and audits.
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network/system administration.
Proficient in managing Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
Familiar with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
Strong knowledge of network configuration (VLAN, routing, switching, firewalls).
Experience in handling UPS and structured cabling setup is an advantage.
Good problem‑solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
Strong commitment to system uptime and data protection.
