This position focuses on IT Network and Infrastructure support and is responsible for managing the hospital’s IT systems, including Windows Servers, domain controllers, firewall, managed network switches, antivirus (AV), backup systems, VMware, and related infrastructure.
The role also provides basic IT support to hospital staff via email, walk-in, and phone calls, supports daily applications, records incidents and service requests in the ticketing system, and escalates issues to the relevant technical teams when required.
Job Scopes
NETWORK/INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to end users (both hardware, software, networks, servers, telephony and etc)
- Level 2 support responsibilities include:
- Configuring and maintaining managed switches and VLANs.
- Firewall configuration and updates.
- Troubleshooting servers and Active Directory (AD) issues.
- Provisioning and managing virtual machines (VMs).
- Performing network troubleshooting beyond basic connectivity.
- Microsoft 365 administration: Manage user accounts, licenses, groups, permissions, and access across Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Manage Active Directory: user accounts, GPO, and connectivity to computers/laptops.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software using the asset management system.
- Liaise with vendors for network and IT infrastructure projects, including firewalls, managed switches, cabling, and system enhancements.
- Monitor and maintain physical servers, VMware, Hyper‑V, SAN storage, and Nutanix HCI environments.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, including AV migration, web filtering, email security, and network segmentation.
- Deploy and configure new servers or virtual machines (VMs) in VMware or Hyper‑V environments based on system requirements.
- Manage hospital firewall (SonicWall) and network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, cabling, wireless networks, and domain controllers.
- Manage PABX system and involved in migration telephony system to IP Based & Softphone.
- First level support for IT technical issue related to access and authorization.
- Preparation & submission of monitoring report.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time.
APPLICATION SUPPORT
- Provide Level 1 Application Support which includes user account assistance, technical support, and others for the following systems.
- Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Clinical Management System (CIS)
- Finance Information System (FIS)
- Reporting Systems
- and others
- Documents work in the ITSM tracking tool and utilizes the Knowledge base for troubleshooting and when appropriate, dispatch.
- Participate in doing tests such as User Acceptance Test (UAT), Proof of Concept (POC), Functional Tests, Deployment Tests and any other IT Application related tests.
OTHER GENERAL DUTIES
- To lead and assists all Infra/Network related projects
- To assists management for any ad-hoc projects and support
- Cross-functional support to support other departments/units within the company
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Independent, proactive, and able to work well in a team.
