Qualifications & Requirements
- Possess a Degree in Computer Studies/Information Technology or equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in the following:
- Familiarity with networking products such as HP, EnGenius, and Ubiquiti
- Proficient in troubleshooting network issues, and installing and maintaining various types of network cabling
- Supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows OS (desktop), Windows Networking, Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization
- Computer hardware assembly, troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with computer, laptop, and printer
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Willingness to travel to rural locations
Requirements
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating unresolved issues to HQ when necessary
- Manage and maintain software licenses and subscriptions, and keep an up-to-date inventory of IT fixed assets within the entire asset lifecycle
- Document all support activities and maintain records of incidents in the Helpdesk system
- Manage on-site IT stock, including computer spare parts, accessories, and peripherals
- Conduct routine maintenance on servers and related infrastructure, ensuring server rooms and equipment are organized and secure. Coordinate with HQ for replacements or upgrades as needed
- Oversee IT purchase requisition fulfillment, maintaining close coordination with HQ internal departments and external vendors
- Manage internet service providers and any third-party vendors providing on-site IT services.
- Ensure compliance with relevant HQ IT policies
- Support projects driven by HQ
- Test and evaluate new technologies to continuously improve IT operations and efficiency
