Role Overview

The IT Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the IT infrastructure to ensure robust, secure, and scalable systems across the organization. The role focuses on optimizing performance, safeguarding data integrity, automating tasks for efficiency, and providing high‑quality technical support to internal users and teams. This position plays a critical part in driving technology improvements and supporting business operations across multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions including servers, storage systems, networks, and virtualization platforms.
• Administer and enhance Microsoft environments such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure.
• Support and maintain virtualization technologies including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Participate in IT projects, providing technical expertise and consultation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including processes, landscapes, and configurations.
• Provide end‑user support including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of operating systems and applications.
• Coordinate and execute software and hardware rollouts, with readiness to travel as needed.
• Ensure efficient and secure network operations, managing fundamentals such as firewalls and VLANs.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices, including network and endpoint security measures.
• Deliver training sessions for new systems, tools, and applications to employees across the organization.
• Prepare and maintain user guides, FAQs, and related support materials.
• Develop, test, and regularly update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance IT infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and system engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure.
• Proficiency in virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure fundamentals including firewalls, VLANs, and security protocols.
• Practical experience with IT security concepts such as cybersecurity, endpoint protection, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical issues.
• Experience in documenting systems and processes in a clear and structured manner.
• Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally when required.
