Job summary

A technology company located in Malaysia is seeking an IT Asset Management cum EUC to provide support for end users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and maintain accurate asset inventories. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology, possess at least one year of relevant experience, and demonstrate excellent communication skills in English, Malay, and (optionally) Chinese. Responsibilities include managing assets, ensuring compliance, and assisting level 1.5 users with technology support.

Job description

Responsible for Asset Management services and end users support such as troubleshooting PC/Notebook, configure software, troubleshoot applications software, asset management including deployment and refreshment, installing and configuring phone/tablets, printers, local area networks, wide area networks, any piece of computer related peripheral or software that end user would be using. IT Asset Management cum EUC has to perform their daily tasks by providing a high level of customer service to the end user.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting network operating system, software and hardware
• Being familiar with network operating system, software and hardware
• Work within a ticketing system and create documentation for new processes
• Providing individual support and training upon request
• Maintain accurate asset inventory using ITAM tools and ensure data integrity.
• Forecasting new asset acquisition and obtaining vendor quotations.
• Managing asset onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Executing hardware refresh programs for end-of-life devices.
• Maintaining and updating hardware asset records within ServiceNow.
• Overseeing software license allocation and tracking for compliance and optimization.
• Facilitating test and swap laptop requests.
• Coordinating the return of leased assets upon lease expiry to vendors and managing asset disposal.
• Performing asset maintenance, including patching for BCP assets.
• Ensure compliance with software licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with outside vendors and internal staff.
• Assist EUC (level 1.5 users support) in supporting technologies including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, virtual desktops, and collaboration tools.
• Assist EUC (level 1.5 users support) in managing endpoint security patching, and compliance in coordination with Internal teams.
• Documenting case studies and relevant IT processes and procedures and adding to the knowledge base of the organization.
• Performing any other IT related duties assigned.
• Performing after hour on-call work when necessary.

Requirements

Candidate should possess a Diploma / Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology

Preferably minimum 1 year or more of related working experience.

Preferably specializing in Information Technology or equivalent.

• Good communication skills in English, Malay, Chinese (optional) language for both spoken and written.
