We are seeking an Investment Associate to join a growing investment team, initially based in Puchong and later relocating to the Bukit Damansara area. In this role, you will evaluate and execute investment opportunities by conducting due diligence, researching projects, and building financial models to forecast performance. You will analyse key drivers including economic trends, financing structures, regulatory considerations, development and operating assumptions, and other factors impacting investment value.

You will be closely involved in due diligence, constructing and reviewing detailed financial models, modelling debt arrangements, and supporting the negotiation of commercial and legal contracts. This role includes ongoing engagement with projects after investment, monitoring performance metrics, performing internal valuations, supporting financing transactions, and tracking investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in assessing new investment opportunities, including market analysis, competitive positioning, initial underwriting, and deal structuring.
  • Lead diligence efforts on targeted deals, including business analysis, risk assessment, and coordination with external advisors.
  • Build robust and flexible financial models to support underwriting and structuring decisions.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial and business analysis to support transaction negotiations.
  • Provide hands-on support to projects across multiple jurisdictions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Financial Management, or related field with strong academic performance.
  • Minimum three years of experience as a business analyst, financial analyst, or project team member in finance, investment, economics, or actuarial roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and cashflow analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results under pressure.
  • Highly detail-oriented and entrepreneurial in approach.
