A specialized healthcare design firm in Malaysia is seeking an Interior Designer to develop design concepts and manage projects. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of relevant experience, particularly in healthcare projects, and will be proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp. Responsibilities include material selection, client presentations, and site visits for quality control. Availability for travel and a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach will be essential in this role.

Our practice integrates interior design, construction, in house furniture fabrication and healthcare regulatory planning, enabling us to provide end-to-end solutions for healthcare operators.
We are currently seeking an Interior Designer with strong technical capability and design sensitivity to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Development & Space Planning - Develop design concepts and space planning aligned with client briefs, preparing complete 2D & 3D drawing sets (including shop drawings, furniture layouts, setting out plans and detailed drawings), along with high-quality 3D renderings and presentation materials. Ensure all drawings are coordinated, buildable and aligned with site conditions.
Material & Finish Selection - Select and coordinate materials, finishes and furniture and related elements to suit the approved design concept and project budget.
Client Presentations & Proposals - Prepare and present design proposals and presentation materials and participate in client meetings and design reviews.
Project Coordination - Coordinate with clients and project stakeholders to manage design requirements and ensure accurate execution of approved designs.
Site Involvement & Quality Control - Conduct site visits for measurements, inspections and design verification, monitoring construction progress and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings and design standards.
Furniture & Joinery Coordination - Coordinate with the fabrication team to ensure furniture and joinery are produced and installed accurately in accordance with approved designs and project requirements.
Design Trends & Updates - With a focus on healthcare environments, stay informed on interior design regulations, technologies, materials and emerging trends.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
2–3 years of relevant experience in interior design, fit-out or renovation; experience in clinic or healthcare projects is a plus.
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit or equivalent software.
Additional skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator are an advantage.
Strong spatial awareness and refined design sensibility.
Confident communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and within a team.
Comfortable liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
Possess own transport and willing to travel for site visits when required.
