Job description

The Manufacturing Quality function is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring quality control programs. Key deliverables include recommending improvements to methods, procedures, and standards based on data and process analysis. The team ensures that products are built accurately to specification, meet quality standards, and comply with regulatory requirements. This role also involves identifying, reporting, and tracking defects until resolution.

Responsibilities

The primary objective of the Quality Control specialization within the Manufacturing Quality Job Family is to perform inspections, testing, and sampling activities across the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Inspection, Sampling & Testing
  • Carry out manufacturing line inspections, sampling, and testing of incoming components, raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections according to approved procedures, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Apply appropriate approval or rejection labels to raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
Documentation & Quality Compliance
  • Record inspection results accurately in accordance with quality documentation requirements (e.g., DHR, QMS, ISO 13485, GMP).
  • Assist in drafting or updating procedures and support validation or troubleshooting of testing methods when required.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
Non-Conformance & Product Release
  • Manage non-conforming materials, including segregation, documentation, investigation support, and follow-up on disposition.
  • Support the release of conforming finished goods and ensure traceability throughout the inspection process.
Operational and Technical Support
  • Perform clerical, administrative, specialized technical, or operational tasks as required to support quality functions.
  • Work independently on routine and non-routine tasks, applying initiative to resolve a variety of quality issues.
  • Serve as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience, providing guidance when needed.
Cross-Functional Interaction
  • Interact internally with production, engineering, planning, and other relevant functions to exchange technical information and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Identify key issues and patterns when analyzing partial or conflicting data to support troubleshooting and decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • Diploma holder
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing—preferably in medical device, electronics, or regulated industries.
  • Detailed knowledge of inspection procedures, documentation practices, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, handle non-routine situations, and resolve conflicts or issues independently.
  • Ability to identify key patterns, anomalies, and potential issues from incomplete or conflicting data.
