Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Inspector of Works to support the supervision and delivery of marine infrastructure projects. This role involves managing construction activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and coordinating with engineers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Civil Engineering, be registered with the Board Engineers for IOW, and possess 8-10 years of experience in marine infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer and Senior Resident Engineer in daily project management.
• Inspect and check QA/QC for marine infrastructure works.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Prepare daily reports and attend client meetings.

Skills

Job description

What will you do?

As an Inspector of Works, you will support the Resident Engineer (RE) and Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) in the effective supervision and delivery of marine infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in ensuring construction activities are executed safely, to specification, and in accordance with approved drawings, contract requirements, and quality standards.

• Assist the Resident Engineer and Senior Resident Engineer in the daily management of the Project
• Required to inspect and check the QA/QC for the marine infrastructure works which is being undertaken by the contractor, particularly dredging & reclamation, ground treatment and jetty construction. Ensure the works are being carried out safe, as per the drawings and specification
• Undertake coordination with Resident Engineer, contractors, and stakeholders
• Prepare daily reports and attend meetings with Client and Contractors
