Job summary

A diagnostic solutions company is seeking an In Vitro Diagnostics Engineer to support product development and customer engagement in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves conducting training, providing technical support, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with product launches. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Biomedical Sciences and experience in IVD products, along with strong communication skills in English and Chinese. This position may require travel within Asia.

Qualifications

  • Experience in handling Hematology or other IVD products preferred.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese communication skills.

In Vitro Diagnostics Engineer (Application and Service)

The IVD (In Vitro Diagnostics) Application & Service Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting diagnostic product development, implementation, and customer engagement

Roles
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of IVD products, including instruments, reagents, and software trouble shootings to provide better solutions to distributors
  • Conduct product training, presentations and demos for distributors, laboratory staff and healthcare professionals.
  • Support installation, calibration, and validation of diagnostic systems and on-site and remote support to ensure proper usage and maintenance.
  • Act as a clinical liaison, helping users interpret results and optimize workflows.
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support, helping to close deals and retain customers.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product improvements and marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with NK HQ for product and technical updates.
  • Ensure products comply with IVD regulations (e.g., IVDR, FDA, CE).
  • Maintain and update technical documentation, including user manuals and SOPs.
  • Support quality assurance and regulatory submissions when needed.
  • Work with Operations, marketing, regulatory, and service teams to support product lifecycle.
  • Participate in product launches, clinical trials, and market research.
  • Help develop training materials and internal knowledge bases.
  • Submit bi-weekly or monthly report on activities, future action plan, and open issues.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences / Biological Sciences / Laboratory Medicine (or equivalent)
  • Prefer to have experience in handling Hematology products or other IVD products
  • Proficient English and Chinese communicationskills for effective product presentations and troubleshooting
  • Positive business attitude and work effectively under stressful conditions.
  • A good team player with excellent professional interpersonal relationships with co-employees
  • Self-starter, able to work with limited supervision. Able to set priorities
  • Flexible, open-minded and easily adapts to any given circumstance or situation
  • Can work efficiently even when under pressure and can do productive multi-tasking effectively
  • Willing and able to travel within Asia when required
