Legal Affairs

This position support and assist the Head of Legal Affairs and Corporate Communication portfolio for Inokom.

Job Description
  • To assist Legal Affairs team in managing legal matters relating to Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd ("Inokom")
  • To work together with internal department to obtain commercial and technical information to populate the legal template for Inokom
  • File and archive all documents in compliance with the files and subject matters
  • Collate information and supporting documents for Manager and Executive review
  • Populate templatized agreements with required details and verify accuracy where no changes to the contract body are needed
  • Update and maintain the legal review database, including renewal reminders and contract lifecycle tracking.
  • Assist in implementing and managing the contract management system.
  • Filing and record-keeping of legal documents.
  • Handle SAP submissions or administrative task for departmental matters.
  • Maintain and update standard templates for agreements and legal form.
  • Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, summarize findings for Manager and Executive reference.
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, flag potential risks for escalation
  • Prepare periodic reports on contract status, renewals, and compliance metrics.
  • Liaise with internal department for document collection and coordination for execution of templatized agreements.
  • Maintain a database of legal precedents, FAQs, and SOPs for quick reference.
  • Act as document controller for the Legal Affairs team to ensure approved documents are registered, legible and updated.
  • To assist Legal Affairs team in implementing and managing contract management system to ensure all legal documents are completed according to Sime Darby policies including execution, renewals, and validity.
Knowledge & Skill
Education / Professional Qualification
  • Possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Management, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in contract administration, documentation, or compliance support. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
