Job summary

A logistics company in Johor Bahru is seeking a candidate to oversee water treatment operations. Responsibilities include managing treatment equipment, conducting wastewater sampling, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should have a minimum diploma in engineering, good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge. Experience in IETS or a similar role is preferred, but fresh graduates may be considered. A forklift license is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in IETS or similar role (entry level / fresh graduates may be considered).
• Able to prepare and adjust chemicals based on effluent water quality.
• Experience with wastewater sampling and monitoring.

Job description

Responsibilities

Responsible for overseeing the functioning of various water treatment equipment, such as pumps, filters and chemical dosing systems.

Able to prepare chemicals according to the procedure.

Able to adjust dosage of chemicals based on effluent water quality.

Able to adjust treatment processes to ensure effective treatment.

Adjust involved modifying chemical dosages, dissolves air flotation operation, PH range or other treatment parameters.

Perform preventive and minor corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components.

Monitoring and Testing

Conduct wastewater sampling for internal/external lab monitoring.

Conduct daily monitoring for required parameters.

Keep accurate records of operational data and test results for reporting purposes.

Sludge Handling

Able to handle, manage and movement of sludge generated during treatment process.

Labelling of all waste inside sludge house.

Troubleshooting and Problem‑Solving

Able to identify and address issues.

Diagnose and resolve operational issues.

Recommend process improvement to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs.

Record and Documentation

Maintaining accurate records of water quality data, equipment readings and daily monitoring record.

Job Requirements

Minimum Diploma in Engineering or SPM or related field.

At least 1 to 2 years’ experience in IETS or similar role (entry level / fresh graduates may be considered).

Good communication skills (Bahasa Malaysia and English).

Good in Mathematics & Science to do simple lab analysis and record keeping.

Able to drive forklift and have forklift license.

Basic knowledge in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
