Job summary

A food processing company located in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a qualified individual for IETS performance monitoring and management of wastewater treatment operations. The ideal candidate will have a diploma and at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in WWTP, especially within the food industry. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting tests on effluent water quality, and managing operational parameters. This role demands teamwork, initiative, and the ability to adapt to a challenging environment.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years hands-on WWTP operation experience, preferably in food industries.
• Ability to operate and maintain treatment equipment.
• Detail-oriented with good record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily IETS monitoring and operations.
• Conduct laboratory tests on wastewater samples.
• Ensure compliance with DOE regulations.
• Respond to emergency situations regarding wastewater management.

Job description

Carry out daily Industrial Effluent Treatment System (IETS) performance monitoring activities for all unit processes and operations

Operate and maintain IETS equipment and ensure proper calibration

Carry out daily IETS activities such as chemical and nutrients dosing, sludge handling, cleaning, calibration, and equipment operation

Ensure operation parameters are within control and specification (pH, DO, COD, BOD, sv30, turbidity, microscopic monitoring, etc.)

Conduct laboratory tests on water samples to monitor wastewater quality and ensure compliance with regulations

Maintain detailed records of wastewater treatment activities, including operation and lab test parameters, equipment maintenance logs, and regulatory compliance records

Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, and wastewater parameter issues

Ensure compliance and performance monitoring parameters meet DOE regulations

Monitor and maintain consumable stock levels

Adhere to health and safety rules and company work procedures

Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice, cleanliness and tidiness in the workplace

Perform other duties assigned by management or immediate supervisor

Preferably with 3-4 years hands-on WWTP operation, preferably in food industries

Able to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Must be able to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays, odd hours, rotating shifts, and be available on call at any time

Assertive, self-initiative and able to work under pressure

Good attitude and good teamwork spirit

Willing to learn, adapt new working environment and continuous improvement

Must be willing to work in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan
