Job Title: Hypervisor Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur (Vertical Corp. Tower B) – Hybrid

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Hypervisor Engineer to lead the design, certification, and lifecycle management of enterprise hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and virtualization environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Nutanix HCI and strong working knowledge of VMware technologies, supporting multi-platform deployments across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, certify, and optimize Nutanix HCI solutions (AHV, Prism, storage, DR)
• Manage and maintain Nutanix components in alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards
• Support VMware virtualization stack (ESXi, vCenter, NSX, SRM) in hybrid environments
• Automate hypervisor administration, lifecycle management, and patching processes
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams for capacity planning, scalability, and performance tuning
• Ensure compliance with access management and cybersecurity requirements
• Evaluate new virtualization technologies and recommend adoption strategies
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and certification processes
• Serve as the primary point of contact for branch site engineering activities, troubleshooting, and operational transitions

OS Engineering Responsibilities

• Maintain OS build standards and golden images for Windows Server and RHEL
• Manage lifecycle, patching, and upgrade processes for OS platforms
• Integrate OS configurations with Active Directory, Group Policies, and enterprise tools
• Implement OS-level security baselines and compliance policies
• Develop automation scripts for provisioning, patching, and configuration enforcement
• Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams on troubleshooting and optimization

Required Skills & Expertise

• Nutanix HCI (AHV, Prism, storage, DR, cluster management) – primary expertise
• VMware technologies (ESXi, vCenter, SRM, NSX) – secondary expertise
• Hypervisor automation and integration with enterprise ITSM tools
